Se trata de un espacio que rinde homenaje a los orígenes de la organización en la provincia de Santa Cruz de Tenerife, desde su fundación en 1895. El presidente nacional de Cruz Roja Española, Javier Senent; el alcalde de Puerto de la Cruz, Marco González; la presidenta provincial, Mayte Pociello, y el presidente comarcal del Valle de La Orotava, Helidoro González, asistieron a esta inauguración, acompañados por otros representantes de la institución y de la Corporación municipal. Esta sala museo alberga también gran parte de los fondos con los que cuenta el Archivo Histórico de Cruz Roja en esta provincia, junto a diverso material que se muestra en una casona tradicional canaria del siglo XVIII para divulgar los comienzos de la institución en esta provincia y la organización de sus actividades en las primeras décadas del siglo XX. Sala Museo de Cruz Roja en Puerto de la Cruz El Día Este recurso permitirá conocer los primeros pasos de la Comisión Provincial, los primeros servicios de ayuda a la población, la creación de la Ambulancia Urbana y la Brigada Sanitaria, la construcción del Edificio Social y su evolución, el Dispensario para Pobres y la creación del Cuerpo de Damas Enfermeras, así como las múltiples acciones de captación de fondos o las antiguas celebraciones de la Fiesta de la Patrona. Este espacio museístico ofrece paneles con textos informativos e imágenes antiguas documentos, numerosos objetos y material tan curiosos como la ciclo camilla de la comisión local de San Cristóbal de La Laguna, que data de 1911 y servía para trasladar a pacientes de un lugar a otro. También puede verse en esta exposición una muestra de la documentación generada por los diferentes departamentos de Cruz Roja en el desempeño diario de sus actividades, así como algunos elementos de gran interés histórico, como el botiquín portátil de la comisión de Puerto de la Cruz de 1915 o la llamada camilla delantal, un modelo creado por Nicasio Landa en 1865.
